Happy 10 year work anniversary to Adam!
As Senior Web Developer at Key Digital, Adam heads up our Web Design and Development team. We asked him a few questions about websites and agency life…
What was the first website you worked on at Key Digital?
I remember it like it was yesterday! It was for Drusillas Inn, a lovely pub just outside Wimborne.
What has been the website project you are most proud of?
It sounds really cheesy, but the website project I’m most proud of is always the latest project I’ve worked on!
How much has website development changed in the last 10 years?
Massively! I think the one single thing that sticks in my mind was the transition to mobile first & responsive web development which forever changed the way developers thought about building websites!
Any examples of great websites that have caught your eye recently?
Well, I’ve always thought theurbanexplorer.co.uk is a great website! Plus keep your eye out for a new Key Digital website soon 😉
What do you like most about working at Key Digital, and has agency life changed while you’ve been here?
The way we build our websites with the freedom to use the latest techniques & practices means we’re always learning and producing exciting new web builds. No two projects are ever the same. Agency life has changed a lot! From what was me & Dave in a shared office to now where some days there’s nine of us, one thing has certainly changed – the time it takes to make a round of tea!
Have you been able to progress your career as a Website Developer while working at Key Digital?
Definitely! Over the past 10 years I’ve certainly progressed my career in ways I never thought I would and that is again down to the freedom in our practices which Dave has always encouraged.
Have you got any better at getting out of bed in the morning?
I think that one will always be a struggle! 😆
The team at Key Digital would like to thank Adam for making it out of bed to deliver 10 years of hard graft on many first class website projects. To celebrate the work anniversary, we recently enjoyed a team BBQ and presented Adam with Bike Park Wales vouchers, a pair of LSA whiskey glasses and a bottle of Dead Man’s Finger spiced rum. We look forward to seeing the Key logo tattoo!
