News in from Instagram – they’re expanding their Shopping function to allow businesses to now tag products in Stories as well as the main feed.
Time-sensitive Stories content will now have the option of linking directly through to shoppable products.

The Shopping feature in the main feed has been rolling out to Instagram accounts over the last few months – but now looks like being added to Stories too.

According to Instagram…
“Instagram isn’t just a place of inspiration, it’s also a place of action, and we know that inspiration can come from anywhere,” said an Instagram spokesperson. “From Adidas and Aritzia to Louis Vuitton, people have been able to shop from their favourite brands around the world, and now you can shop these businesses in Instagram Stories.”
Consumers viewing Instagram Shoppable Stories will now be able to see a sticker with a shopping bag icon, and can then tap on to it for more details about the products featured and link across to a website to purchase.
Brands who have been early adopters of Stories, create some of the most viewed and engaging content on the Instagram platform. Now, you can shop from select brands in Instagram Stories with more coming soon.
