Background to the Business
The British Holiday & Home Parks Association (BH&HPA) is the only organisation established exclusively to serve and represent the interests of the parks industry in the UK. Membership is made up of the owners and managers of park home estates, touring, tenting and glamping parks, holiday caravan parks, chalet parks and all types of self-catering accommodation.
Our Challenge
The British Holiday & Home Parks Association approached us with an existing website which wasn’t being used to it’s potential by their members and needed to be brought up to date in both design & technology.
Having been a part of their UKParks.com rebuild the previous year, we offered BH&HPA a website design solution that would be a real positive for administrators and users alike.
With a CRM in place at BH&HPA headquarters, we thought it foolish to ignore this already huge data source. BH&HPA didn’t want to reenter all their data into new websites, and neither did we!
Our Approach
We created a seamless link between the CRM and a central website admin, capable of providing data to any number of websites via an API. A sophisticated login procedure would also mean that BH&HPA members wouldn’t need to remember usernames and passwords for different websites.
All job listings adopt the holiday park’s credentials from the central CRM removing the need for advertisers to add in repetitive data. Another small but significant win.
Job listings can be searched & filtered via several criteria, giving jobseekers the most accurate results possible. An optional map view also gives a UK-wide overview of available jobs.
Applications are all handled securely via the applicant & holiday park giving a seamless & direct no-nonsense approach.
Our Results
The smooth, uninterrupted transition between old & new websites meant that regular users of the website weren’t affected by the massive overhaul we undertook. Design-wise, the new Park Jobs website has a modern & clean design and the technology behind the scenes brings this popular website into the 21st Century.
Initial page speed & metrics analysis shows significant improvements across the board, feedback from BH&HPA members has been positive and their adoption of the new system flawless.
