Established in 1989, New Image Tiles, Kitchens & Bathrooms have built a reputation as one of the leading suppliers of tiles, kitchens and bathrooms in Dorset
They have a great track record for providing outstanding customer service. Whether its single replacement tiles or a complete renovation of your kitchens and bathrooms is required, customers will receive the same care and attention from their knowledgeable team of staff.
Our Challenge
At the start of 2017 we were invited to review their current website and other digital channels. Our brief was simple – how to we dramatically improve their online presence and increase the footfall of visitors to their tile showroom – whilst taking on the likes of B&Q and Topps Tiles.
As one of the largest kitchen and bathroom tile providers in Dorset with an impressive showroom, New Image needed a digital presence to match it. How do we go about improving the website and social channels, turn dwindling online figures around and in turn, increase the search presence of the site?:
- Drive customers to their Weymouth showroom
- Show off the expertise and creativity that New Image staff have in tiles, kitchens & bathrooms
- and Develop customer trust
Our Approach
Our journey started with a strategy planning day with the New Image management team where we were able to fully understand their business needs and plan the role that digital marketing should play in the future.
We agreed a three year strategic digital plan that would enable their business to exploit new online income streams and promote their tiling expertise to a much wider audience.
Our technical team identified early on that their hosting was underperforming so we transferred the site to a better perform hosting solution and then set about reviewing their content across all their digital platforms. These included:
- website and blog content,
- visual content – video & photos,
- Google My Business profile improvements and reviews,
- social media content,
- set up of Houzz account.
Following the initial website audit we formulated an SEO strategy agreeing search keywords to monitor and started to SEO the website.
Our Results
The tile marketplace is very competitive, with a number of dominant brands owning the major search term rankings. We needed to put the New Image website in a position to fight with these big brands by “owning the local search traffic” and focusing on long-tail niche keywords.
Since starting our optimisation work we’ve helped the New Image team establish a robust content strategy that has ensured they now have increased engagement on social media, website traffic that has increased month on month and significant first page search engine positions for key local searches.
In the space of twelve months work we are now achieving some significant organic search engine placements.
We have now redeveloped their website to include an online tile shop and also completed kitchen and bathroom inspiration micro sites.
